Tiger Woods is recovering after crashing his vehicle into a fire hydrant outside of his Orlando, FL home according to CNN reports. While no major details have been released the report that the police released did NOT have indicate that Woods was intoxicated at the time of the accident. We do know that just before 3am this morning Woods was driving his Cadillac Escalade ...STOP...doesn't Woods endorse Buick? I hope that the old people over at Buick don't snatch away his endorsement deal over this one. Anyway he was driving his truck right towards the fire hydrant and then hit a tree which is where things came to a hault just steps from his front door. He did have some facial lacerations and from reports on CNN, Woods has been released from the hospital but his current location is unknown.

Thursday night Murphy Lee opens doors for FREE with his annual Thanksgiving Night Bash, Melyssa "I'm not a Video Model" brings her booty in the doors on Friday, and Aunt Viv (Vivica Fox) comes to town for Sutra Saturday. He was here a few months ago but now Suite Soul Spot celebrates their 2 year Anniversary with ERIC ROBERSON and he is bringing his entire band with him. I know folks think they have seen a show before but if you have never seen Erro hit the stage and do his thing then you have not truly lived. He will be at The Ambassador on Friday so there is plenty of space for you to enjoy the show and parking is all around so there is no excuse for you not to be in the house. People love to hate in STL, or least thats what people love to say, but the ladies of June 5th have showed us nothing but love since we started suiteSTL. Tiffany Fox will be celebrated her b-day on Black Friday at EXO so you know what color to wear and in true Black Friday deal tradition, admission will be only $5 so this seem to be the party of the week for us!

Don't be fooled by the Halloween logo and next month when they start ROCKing Christmas music because it is all temporary folks until they go ROCK all the time which we are predicating will be January 1st.

People are shocked that rush limbaugh wants a piece of the Rams. I, for one, am not the least bit surprised at all. Being born and raised here I would have to say that St. Louis is one of the most racist cities. To me we operate on the "separate but equal" junk from the Jim Crow days. From our neighborhoods to our clubs. Sometimes we are able to mingle together but for the most part we are separate. I do believe that the Rams do need some money to help build the team. However, I do believe that going his route would be the biggest mistake and the final nail in the coffin of the St. Louis Rams. The Rams owners didn't listen to the city when we said to go after Mike Vick, but I hope they are paying attention when we say we don't want or need a blatant racist to become apart of the organization.

My heart went out to the children in the book. I was screaming at the words "hold on girl, your cries have not fallen deaf on God's ears" I knew they couldn't hear me but I just felt better saying it. I will not give one clue about this book because it is something that you just have to read for yourself. This book is The Color Purple meets Push (the book based on the movie Pleasure that Monique is starring in).

Singing mainly songs from her latest cd, Chrisette Michele looked and sounded stunning! She opened the concert Friday Night at the Scottstrade Center. Jammin' to a 5 piece band, Chrisette held her own. Common brought a lil' taste of Chicago to St. Louis. The crowd bobbed their heads and waved their hands as he rapped, two-stepped, and break-danced across the stage. As Maxwell tweeted (during the show), "chrisette MICHELE is LOVE... COMMON is the LIGHT!" And Maxwell was the heart of the show! He was comedic and full of life w/ his dancing and crooning of songs old and new. The energy from all three acts was amazing. The vibe in the arena was that of gloryfing women &showing love for one another!

Real Housewife Kandi of the popular Bravo series always talks about the support from her Fiance "AJ" and the storyline follows the 2 of them throughtout the show, now we are hearing that the man she planned to marry was killed in ATL today at the Body Tap a strip club. If you read Mary Monroe's book God Don't Like Ugly ( the first of many in its series) then you already know that picking up this book is a plus. For some reason the books in this series just keep getting better and better. The main character Annette has had one hell of a life. From being molested for years as a child and later watching her best friend Rhoda kill the man who took her virginity to becoming a prostitute. She has been able to live a great adult life. Marrying childhood friend Pee Wee and having a daughter together it seems life couldn't get any better. That is until she looks up and realize it has been a year since Pee Wee has touched her. Feeling lonely and needing to get her groove back Annette turns to another man, Louis. As he begins to complete her she starts to realize that cheating isn't as easy as she thought, even though Rhoda (who's being sleeping with her husband's best friend for 20 plus years) tells her it is. You have to pick up the book and read because if I don't stop now I will tell you what happens.

He has slept with a woman on numerous occasions and knowingly passed on the HIV virus to her. He is being held in St. Louis County Jail. County police are worried that he may have infected others. The deadly truth about Pancreatic Cancer

He grabbed my attention when he danced all over the big screen in Dirty Dancing but it was the movie Ghost that made me a fan of actor Patrick Swayze. After almost a 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer Swayze died today. While many blogs are giving you the news about Patrick I have a more personal story to tell.

It was Fall of 2004 and I remember a neighbor coming to my job to tell me that my uncle (who I lived next door to) didn't look to well and had been in his car sitting for over an hour. I ran (i could run then) and talked Uncle Charles (pictured right with me, Jami B.) out of the car and onto the steps of his apartment. Halfway up I knew he wouldn't make it and instructed him to have a seat. He didn't have any children and was never married and my mother was out of town so it was up to me to figure out what my next move was. Not knowing what to do I called 911, and after some complaints my uncle finally decided to get into the ambulance. I'm glad he did because after a short stay in the hospital and a return for more test, results showed that my Uncle Charles had cancer. Just years after my dad had battled and beat prostate cancer I went in like oh cancer, thats all, we can beat this thing. Then the doctor said he has Pancreatic Cancer and said it in a tone of such seriousness that I immediately knew that this Cancer wasn't going to be a simple fight and eventually we would lose the battle. And less than 3 months later, after my entire family put on boxing gloves and got in the ring, we lost the battle, and our Uncle Charles. It was the first time we lost a close family member to cancer and proved to be just the start of a long lasting relationship my family would have with the disease.

I tell this story not to take the spotlight away from Patrick Swayze but to let people know that this thing called CANCER is a beast. It is something that could be as close to claiming the life of your favorite actor, favorite uncle or even a friend. If you know someone battling cancer right now, understand that while treatment is getting better, there is still a risk and those living with Cancer need your support. Sorry if this was too long for our daily readers or not as humorous as we may be but this was important for me to share. Thank you for allowing me to share my personal story with you. Its Cancer people. It's a terrible disease and we all must do what we can to help find a CURE.

Madonna started things out by doing a tribute to Michael Jackson but I swear she ended up talking more about her damn self. Was it just me or was Madonna on some other stuff and why didn't she bring her accent to the awards with her. The much anticipated Janet Jackson tribute was over before we knew it and it makes me wonder with all the time they had to prepare, it still feels like nobody can really do a MJ tribute the proper way, but really who can stand up against the legend. Oh and did anybody see Laurie Ann dancing behind Janet...I bet Diddy was so proud LOL.

We all know what Kanye did, yeah he a fool, no we not surprised, and we all

know mainstream america is going to teach Kanye a lesson about that one. But he did

apologize via his blog of course. Take it for what it is, but to be honest it really didn't even upset me that much...maybe the drama queen in me likes it when things get messy.

While Kanye did disappoint many, after Beyonce got done slanging her lacefront and Carter Cat all over stage she tried to make things right by allowing Taylor Swift to have her shine. But Taylor lost a point by not thanking Beyonce or at least her padded hips during that moment.

The ultimate epic fail of the night was having Russell Brand host. WHY? Who thought that was a good idea? And will they be fired tomorrow? Those ultra low rise ultra tight pants made me sleepier than a Rams game.

I know everybody and they momma love them some Lady Gaga but she scares me just a little. I feel like she should have been on the finale of True Blood instead of the awards. She does the most, even more than Pink with her left titty hanging out while she was flying all over the stage. Really Pink girl boo go sit down someplace and hate on Kanye.

The night couldn't end in NY without a performance by Jay-Z. His dramatic entrance was a bit too much but whatever. Once on stage he rocked it out with Alicia Keys. Just when Beyonce threw up the Roc sign and the world was happy, Lil Mama and her nostrils popped on stage. Who told Lil Mama to come on stage and just how in the hell did she even get a ticket to the awards? I know that pic is old hell of Lil Mama it best describes what a mess she is.

Suite Spotlight: Ms. Sdot

Congratulations are in order for Ms. Sdot (not her real name but it might as well be...some may know her as Shanika) for gaining R.N. Status to her name. This Cali native who has a strong background in radio got her entertainment start at KKBT 100.3 The Beat in LA. While radio and entertainment are her passion anybody that knows Shanika knows that helping others comes as natural to her as the world of radio. While in St. Louis and staying busy working hard for HOT 104.1 and Foxy 95.5 she has also been a full time student. After being with the Radio One family since 2000, Ms. Sdot is now a proud graduate of Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College. One day she hopes to become a pediatric nurse preferrabley in the inteive care unit. That sounds all good but I told her she should be stay at Radio One so when Young Dip and Tony J kids get sick they can just bring into the studio and she can work her magic. OK maybe not.

The 7lbs 12oz baby boy is the first for London and the third child born for Lil Wayne. 3 isn't the magic number because in a matter of weeks, his other chick Nivea will be giving birth to add to the little monster clan.

Meet Boqueshia!

Boqueshia this chick that showed up and showed out at a Eric Roberson concert last year.

Now that I've been nice its time to let the real Suite B out and tell you about this crazy lady that was at the concert last night. Don't get me wrong, I was right at the stage singing and screaming and having myself a good time, but not everyone was on the same page. When he started singing Softest Lips this woman (who I will refer to as "Boqueshia") came running down to the stage out of nowhere and was screaming like her child had just been kidnapped. I thought she was having a panic attack until she started rubbing all over herself and trying to have a private conversation with ERRO while he was performing. Yes this chic was really talking to this man like he was listening while he was on stage. Anyway Boqueshia wouldn't stop with the comments and ERRO being the artist/comedian that he is, jokingly (I really think he was serious) called out for "security". He may have been joking but I was looking for someone to take this woman away. I go through the concert without letting North St. Louis come out of me. When we were line to get CD's and get pics taken, Boqueshia comes out of nowhere and just jumps the line and spreads some towel down on the table and insist that he sign it. When someone yells out, there is a line..Boqueshia screams out "this is ya'll first concert, me and Eric have a history together". At that point I knew I was dealing with someone would later be featured on the show Snapped. She was so crazy, she took her towel and rubbed it all over his face, then rubbed her hands all over this mans face. I had a great time at the concert but I swear next time I'm going to have to ask them to provide better security. When you get a chance visit some of the links in this post and enjoy! With House of Comedy in it's new location, JE Ent will continue bringing you Soul Sessions, and I'm thinking being on Washington the crowd may pick up for them. With a $5 cover you can get some reggae, neo soul, comedy, spoken word and maybe some praise dancers. OK maybe not the praise dancers but I do know they have a wide variety of entertainment so check out this low key event. New location of House of Comedy on Washington and 20th (just next door to The City).

The Rams will be playing the Chiefs on Thursday (and yes you can still get tickets). And we know Liquid Assets loves to put a theme behind Red Hott Thursdays so go get you some of the KC vs STL edition hosted by "Randy McMichael and all his teammates." OK groupies you know what this means, money will be in the building so wear your tightest low cut dress and see if you can become a baby mama before Christmas.

My first stop will be at Groove Theory so I can help those men of FreeTime say goodbye to their successful Thursday Night event at EXO. They've been doing it for a while but all good things must come to an end. Don't think that this is the end of Free Time, they are working hard on the their next event already. I know they say Pregnancy gives women some type of special glow but the only thing I can say of this pic of Nivea (pic taken by: Freddy O, and was first spotted at www.straightfromthea.com) is NO NO. This dress doesn't work and it kind makes me sad. I was starting to hate on Lil Wayne for not being seen with at least one of his baby momma's but now I know why he didn't want to go out with Nivea...she look like she ate up Tiny & Toya.

It's nothing worse than seeing folks announcing they are in a relationship via Facebook, then it go to "It's Complicated" then they go to being single and folks comment all day long saying "what happened". Please people stop letting facebook ruin your relationships.

DJ AM survives Plane Crash but dies of overdose?

Just 11months ago DJ AM survived a plane crash with Travis Barker. The 2 were the only survivors in a crash that killed four who were riding with the popular DJ and drummer. After friends hadn't heard from Adam Goldstein in days, police found him dead in his New York apartment on Friday evening. With past public addictions to pills, and cocaine their is a large suspicion that the DJ that once dated Nicole Richie died of an overdose and there are rumors that empty pill bottles and a cocaine (not crack...it's cocaine when you rich) pipe were found next to the 36 year old deejay.

Another day and another long wait for toxicology reports. While we wait on the results to find out what really took DJ AM away do you think he's in heaven working with MJ on a mix tape with special appearances from Eazy E, Pac, Biggie, and a comedic interlude from Bernie Mac?

When people lose games during before the start of the regular season you know everybody loves to say "But it's Preseason, it doesn't count" Well for the Rams I think Preseason, practice, hell timeouts count for them. Anytime the Rams are on a field and touch that football it counts. We are dealing with a team that has won less games than the Cardinals have black players and an injury report longer than St. Louis City's homicide rate.

So lets celebrate this win that the Rams just got over the Bengals especially since Mr. Chad Johnson was talking ish all over twitter about "Kiss The Baby" well go this we got a win and we proud of it. If you see a Rams player out this weekend make sure you tell them congratulations then tell them to go home and calm down cause they not winners just yet.

*no the photo above of Marc Bulger is not from the most recent game cause he not playing cause of a damn pinky injury. But when he does get back in the game I'm sure this will be his position...on the ground*

Vicks biggest opponent just killed her dog

Same lady who was the first to make sure Michael Vick did time just killed her dog by letting him over heat in her car while she went to work. According to her husband it was his fault for putting the dog in the car and not letting his wife know. The 16 year old blind and deaf dog died in the hot car last Wednesday while Robin Starr CEO of Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) was all up in Mike Vick's face making sure he did jail time. I wonder will this middle aged white women or her husband now face charges for the cruel act they did to that blind dog.

Judge gives Chris Brown 5years...

Brown received 5 years of probation from a Judge today following charges of assault of his former girlfriend Rhianna. I think the 5 years probation isn't all that bad and should be easy for him to handle but the fact that the orders also include him having to stay away from Rhianna for that long may be a bit of a stretch. I just don't think Rhi Rhi and her little tattoos will allow that to happen. She seems to have some type of power over that light skinned boy that is equal to some good True Blood Vampire Voodoo.

If a judge gave you a court order to stay away from an "EX" that you still cared for could you do it?

We all know how the hip-hop industry is a male dominated profession. Sure we’ve had our taste of the MC Lyte’s and Lil Kim’s in the business. We bobbed our head and swayed to their music because they were speaking from a female’s point of view. However, they weren’t from the Midwest so their swing wasn’t from our point of view all the way. The first time I heard In Your Face at the club the ladies in the crowd went nuts. It was just what the ladies in the Lou wanted to hear, her lyrics were hard and in your face. She could rap along side of males and hold her own. Since then she has split ways with Capitol Records and Track Boyz, let the record show that she is the only female rapper out of STL with a nationally released album, and now you can add label owner to her resume she owns Lady Lion Ent. We had to get an interview with Ms. Ebony Eyez who is set to release her new mix tape Nice Girlz Finish Last which is out and ready today.

Suite: we know you are currently residing in Atlanta, but what’s the first thing you do when you get back here.

Ebony: When I touch down in the Lou, I always go to the chinamen first and foremost. Then the studio, and after that family and friends

Suite: Your mix tape is out today so what can a buyer expect to hear different from you this time around?

Ebony: This time I am showing more of my lady lion if you will. Meaning it’s very aggressive, showing that as women we are definitely a force to be reckoned with, and this time around I mean business. First album I was more so just happy for the opportunity to share my music with the world. I was so naive to how the business works. I had people around me that didn’t have my best interest at heart. I had to learn that the hard way.

Suite: Whats your favorite song off the mix tape?

Ebony: It’s the last song Lame. I wrote it for my protégé Teiona. She’s a 12 year old rapper from KC and she is bonkers on the mic. That song resonates with me a lot because she is the future

Suite: If you could work with any other STL artist that you haven’t already, who would it be?

Ebony: I pretty much am open to do music with anybody as long as its good music

Suite: How would you sum up the message that Ebony Eyez is telling the people?

Ebony: I just want people to know that I am music. I live, eat, and breathe music 24/7. I just want to share the world through my eyez, and hopefully people can relate. I want to be the voice of women and what we represent. But more importantly I want to take the necessary steps to become successful and leave my mark

There you have it boys and girls. Ms. Eyez is allowing you a glimpse into her world through her music. Like most entertainers she’s had a taste of the good and the bad in the industry. Now with her being her own boss she can shoot her star as far as she pleases in the galaxy and we wish her nothing but success in the future. On Saturday one promoter is calling Saturday "HIP HOPPERS HOLIDAY" When people say Hip Hop is Dead or Hip Hop has changed, do you agree? The Hip Hop that played through the hallways during our high school years (well not really on the loud speakers but through headphones) were PAC, TLC, Lauryn Hill, Dr. Dre, Outkast but some that came before us may have thought the tunes that kept us moving in the mid 90's wasn't REAL HIP HOP. Now Soulja Boy, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, and Lil Wayne fill up the iPods of almost everyone under 25.

The music has changed, but has it evolved or did all the talent go away with the 90's?

Is Hip Hop Dead or did you get too old to understand the new language?

I'm going to go ahead and crown Tohpher the Birthday weekend king. This weekend Jones who is one of the brains behind Derrty ENT, will celbrate his Birthday over a 2 day stretch. Now I can't front like Topher's Ego doesn't catch me off gurad each and everytime I hear him speak but while his Ego may be large so are his ideas about business and life so make sure you come out and help him celebrate his birthday. This is one weekend you don't want to miss out on.

It goes down Saturday for the kickoff hosted by Murphy Lee and ladies are free before 11 so there is no excuse for you budget chicks not to be there. Everybody and they momma will be in the house and you already know Topher brings out the stars groupies Get. Ready. Set. Go!

Busch Stadium is going to see a whole lot of brown in a sea of Red on Sunday because for $40 you can get your Cardinal ticket which will also grant you admittance to the Day Party at Black Label following the game and one free drink. Charlie Chan will be doing what he does best so make sure you get out of church early and join the fun with the grown folks as we party mid afternoon on Sunday in our Cardinals gear.

I'm so glad PETA didn't put the fear of the Phildephia Eagles so they could sign Michael Vick to the 2 year deal that he is so deserving of. Ok yeah yeah I know all the blogs are focusing on Vick going to Philly and that's great, but my mind is on the Rams

Before The Rams start having they mistresses and groupies try to jump me in the club I'm not going to say anything bad...well not real bad...well I won't lie. I love the Rams. I've even ordered a new jersey to accommodate these extra pounds I'm carrying but I be damn if I walk around with a jersey on for a team with (ANOTHER) losing season. I'm really not trying to hear my husband talk ish about the Rams during any games we may attend this year. Seriously I'm giving you all a try this year. If it helps I think it might be a good idea to find Marshall Faulk and maybe even the 12 Heavy Team from Herbert Hoover. Get somebody on that field to help us out. Cause if we don't win at least 3 games before Oct. 1st I'm going to find Issac Bruce, Dre Bly, and dust off Tony Banks and bring them right on down to the dome and throw them on the field.

I do have faith in The Rams but tell me, am I alone and and crazy in thinking that we can really win more than 5 games this year?

Suite Success

When I saw Jada Avenue on the bill for Suite Soul Spot I was sold. I love her voice and her positive energy and great humor made me a fan last year. While I love to support this event I don't get a chance often to attend the 2nd Wednesday monthly event, but I told myself there was no way I would miss Jada on the stage.

Homegirl did her thang in her cute dress which is a new look for the artist that promises to release her EP in time for Christmas. Her song "Vitamin" talking about one man giving you everything you need had me on the edge of my seat. Her songs about love, men and just life in general weren't the norm because the voice that Avenue belts out reminds you of why you love music. The rawness, the originality, and true passion that flows through her voice will make you a fan for sure.

Wildman who is also from St. Louis came on after Jada and did his thang to the fullest. The only way I can describe him is think Bilal without his ADHD medication. He is a talented man and his on stage performance is something that everyone should see at least once. He took his shirt off and flipped those long dreads all over the small stage and gave the folks a true show. The makeshift spotlights proved to be too hot for him because he insisted on taking off his jacket, which got the crowd going and got one fan an up close and personal look. Each time I see Wildman live I like him just a little bit more. He is for sure different and while his style is his own his music is for all to enjoy.

It was Wednesday night, I was tired, my feet were starting hurt and the spotlight I was seating next too was giving me a headache and I told Nicole, Inc that I would only stay for 1 maybe 2 songs by Choklat. Well when this Seattle born songwriter got on stage and hit her first note I was happy I stayed and knew I wasn't leaving until her last note was out.

CHOKLATE, who Nikki Roach, the host for the evening described by using song title "Killing Me Softly" may have reminded some of Lauryn Hill (pre the crazy drugs) but she was more the female version of Eric Roberson with a twist of Common rolled up into a female with a bad ass pair of shoes on. She had us singing along to classics but her own music is what made me truly take notice of her greatness. She was singing so hard she went down on her knees and finished one song, but when she tried it for a second time the speaker fell off the stage, knocked the spotlight off all while she was rocking those heels and never, missed a note. Normally I would have laughed but when she never stopped singing and even made a quick joke about it I was like this sister is the business! She finished her set by spitting a freestyle and even brought "16 Bars" on stage with her and allowed him to do his thang as well. I could go on and on about her and ya'll know I will but I'm going to save it because I'm determined to get Choklate in the V.I.P. Suite very soon.

NEXT MONTH: ERIC ROBERSON. That's right folks MR. ERRO will be in St. Louis on September 9th for Suite Soul Spot at Black Label. Show starts at 8 but if you've ever been to an Eric Roberson show before you may want to go camp outside starting now.

Murphy Lee and Boogie D were at The Loft on Friday Night to settle a battle that these two have been talking about over the airwaves of HOT 104.1 and via twitter for weeks. Foreplay Fridays was changed to Fight Night as Mr. U C ME battled Mr. NYC in a PS3 challenge. You would have thought it was an Ali fight going down with all the ish talking and bets that were made. If Boogie D would have lost he would have had to turn over his show to Murphy Lee for a day. But since Murphy Lee went down in a sweep he now will be taking 20 lucky ladies out on a date. It was a different way to start a Friday Night at the club for sure and I'm thinking if these two keep teaming up there will be more unique events ahead. We were split on the support, Jami B was all in Boogie's corner while Cryssrenee supported the Murph or Die Campaign.

Soul-less in STL?

I once asked the question on twitter if soul mates exist. This very thought has been tearing through my mind for weeks. Is it possible to meet someone who can fulfill every single want and need that you have? Whose heart beat in sync with yours, whose breath fills your lungs with the air that they need to survive. I know several people who are in relationships and several people who are not. It seems like the ones who are in a relationship are just as lost as the ones without a relationship. Yes I am in a relationship and yes we have had plenty of downs as well as some great ups. But isn't that in every relationship? You have to go through the bad to realize how much you love that person because if you didn't you wouldn't waste your time trying to stick it out right? But I'm finding so many of my friends are preferring to be single lately. This brought me to a new question. Is St. Louis becoming one of those single cities where it is hard to find a good man or woman like ATL or LA? I was so close to believing that it was, when I stumbled upon a blog of a great friend and daily reader of suiteSTL PAJNSTL sometime last year. Her relationship is truly one to envy because it seems like she has really found that one piece of the puzzle that you yearn for to complete you. I am sure that they have days where they are not getting a long but when they are it sure is fun to read about. So to my single friends and foes a like I say hold on. I am sure that he/she will come along and complete you as well. But let me say this unless you find Jesus and know more than his name, you really have to have a relationship with him, you will always feel empty because only He can provide you with an unconditional love. Keep your head up people your happiness could be just around the corner.

E. LYNN HARRIS dead at 54

He sparked a new energy into book clubs when he hit the scene in the 90's with one famous football playing bi-sexual character, John BASIL Henderson. If you've ever read a E. Lynn Harris book you either love or hate Basil and from the great illustrations that Harris would draw with the words in his books, you felt like you knew all about the life of Basil. Harris sparked life into many as they rushed to get his books the moment his faithful readers knew it stores. The man who gave life to characters through his dynamic writing skills, was found dead at the age of 54 in Beverly Hills, CA. Details on how Harris died have not yet been made public but I'm sure folks already coming up with their own story on how this openly gay author some call the "author of bisexual books" died. We are saddened by this news and will keep his family in our prayers.

Not because the title or anything scared me, but more because lately Eric Jerome Dickey and I weren't seeing eye to eye on his books. I guess I was searching for that rush I felt when I read Friends and Lovers. However last week I was searching for something to read at the book store and Pleasure just kept jumping out at me. Maybe it's the woman in me and we all seek to have that Pleasure that is not easy to always find. Let me say this book did not dissapoint. I was wrapped in Nia Simone's story and in a way I felt connected to her. Just like she, I have searched desperatel to find the euphoric feeling that makes us feel complete and whole as a woman. But you should always be careful what you wish for, it may be more of a bite than your small mouth could chew. My suggestion is to find a quiet spot in your home, light some candles, cut Maxwell's Blacksummernight on low, and just let this book have its way with you.

President Obama In On The All Star Madness

As the streets of St. Louis were crowded with tons of people. Highway 70 stood at a complete stand still. The only cars driving the highway from the airport to Busch Stadium was President Obama's entourage and St. Louis City and County's finest. He was here to throw the first pitch to St. Louis Cardinals player Albert Pujols last night at the All Star Game. His pitch was ok but that walk of the mound was hawt! Clearly the epitome of "cool".

STL Hits a HOME RUN

I had a chance to attend the All-Star Home Run Derby at Busch Stadium and I must say it was a great treat. Just so happens it was the location of our interview with Ginuwine for the V.I.P. Suite. The mood was great and although many fans came from across the country to attend the All-Star festivities there was a sea of red in the stands as they cheered on Cardinals All-Star Albert Pujols and St. Louis native Ryan Howard (pictured above at bat) who wears his Phillies uniform proud.

Following the sold out Home Run Derby, we headed over MLB's VIP Gala After Party. This was an exclusive event which included owners and MLB team sponsors of both the American and National League. Kim Massie kept the crowd entertained as they entered on the main stage while the smell of good Italian food from The Hill kept party goers full as they prepared for a full night.

Many MLB players enjoyed the night as the mingled with local stars including a few NFL players who were looking great. I didn't see any Rams out, ok I did but I've learned that if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. I will wait until the season starts to discuss my beloved Rams.
There were so many parties going on last night but I was NOT leaving that tent before I saw the St. Lunatics hit the stage. I thought Nelly was the only Derrty Ent member scheduled to perform. So when Murphy Lee tweeted that he was headed downtown to perform I was happy that I decided to rock some flats because I knew I was about to party. Good thing I was able to snap a pic of Nelly & Ginuwine before the show because once Nelly and the Tics hit the stage my poor camera didn't see the outside of my purse. I was having way too much to play photographer. They sang all their hits and I do believe they did more songs than they did at Super Jam. I even spotted Chingy off the side of stage rocking to the St. Louis classics and showing support, so even though they haven't said it I'm going to say that whatever silly beef Nelly & Chingy had is squashed and over so lets all move on from that old topic.

Music Legend Chuck Berry was set to take the stage next but after noticing that my strapless dress was showing some major cleavage I thought it was best to leave before the senior took the stage and I made the old school player lose concentration.

RYAN HOWARD ALL STAR BASH AT LUMEN

I love twitter. Without it I might have been left out of the loop on the Ryan Howard All-Star Bash. His people were great on making sure that we were in this exclusive event with Red Carpet access. Shouts out to my entertainment mental bff Kenya Vaughn from the St. Louis American for catching me up on what I missed. While I was back at the stadium breaking my new shoes I apparently missed the sexy Derek Jeter.

Once inside I got a glimpse of Ryan Howard thanking the crowd and introducing legendary DMC (of Run DMC) to the packed mixed crowd. There was some of everybody and they cousin up in Lumen. Charlie was doing his thang and good thing too because he had a house fool of folks to please.

After there I headed towards LURE but the traffic jams caused me to make a u-turn on Washington and head home. I don't know what if anything was going on at Sugar but it seemed empty and if anybody knows that guy that was outside with Rob Kirk that yelled some obscene remarks about 1am please let me know so that I can put some holy oil on his forehead right after I slap him.

Super Bowl in STL?

While the All-Star Games has the spotlight shining bright on St. Louis, could this be the start of a new trend for big time sporting events in STL? The City looks cleaner than it's ever looked before. The homeless who once took residence in many downtown parks seem to have all found shelter just before the start of Fan Fest. The potholes have been patched and trash on the streets can't be found east of Tucker.

I'm thinking if we get a bid for the Super Bowl of even the NBA All-Star (oh wait we don't even have a team) our city's downtown skyline will be as bright as St. Louis Center back when they were open.

Do you think our town is ready for the Spotlight? Can we handle it? Will we support major events in our city and what do we need to do to finally get the Super Bowl in St. Louis?

Steve McNair Dead at 36

He was the star quaterback for the Tennesse Titans when the Rams won (way back when they were winning games) Super Bowl XXXIV over the Nashville team. McNair who played for Alcorn State before being drafted was found dead in a appartment in Nasville Tennesse on Saturday afternoon along 2o year old Sahel Kazemi female who some are claiming to be the girlfriend of McNair. According to news reports McNair was known to frequent the condo where he was found with mulitple gun shot wounds including one to the head. The condo is in the name of the 20 year old victim who is suspected to have killed McNair before turning the gun on herself.

While most scorned women are looking at this situation as a lesson to all cheating dogs but we have to remember McNair still had a wife, Mechelle and four sons who are now grieving over the loss of their husband and father. After a 12 year marriage and the 2 sons they had together, Mechelle now has to plan a funeral for her husband and sort through the lies, and mystery and possible double life her former all-american, pro-bowl, professional NFL player husband was living.

10:00 - First Friday's We don't wanna stay long cause you know the crowd can be a bit of a mess around the holidays but since we got a sneak peak of the space we are eager to see how Harry and Fred lay the place out

10:30 - The Loft: Don't act like the you forgot that Boogie D will be on the mic from 11 - 1 so you already know we going up there to support. Oh and we hear he will have some shots of 1800 Tequila from 11-12pm for the ladies!

12midnight - Free Time We heart those guys so of course we will make sure to stop by Mike Shannons Outfield for their event they partnered with Koncepts for. When those two get together you are guaranteed to have a good time. I wonder is the flyer with the chick and that flag is legal...something about just doesn't seem right but oh well. It's free before 11 so you may wanna get there early cause when I show up at midnight I plan to bargain with security and see if I can pay next week when I show up for Groove Theory...hey 4 spots in one night I gotta keep some money in my pocket.

12:45 - Sugar Delux Magazine is hosting the official Launch Party of STL's newest magazine. We can't say enough great things about this magazine. The only problem we had is that suiteSTL was nowhere to be found between the sheets but don't worry we heard the next issue will be suite for sure. Come out and support Keith and the rest of the guys that had a vision to think outside the normal pages of a magazine and deliver something new to STL with one magazine that attracts all and covers all.

The Japanese Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden is absolutely beautiful. It's really a serene and romantic enviroment. The garden is meant to be peaceful, pure, and of clear harmony. You have to be a lover of nature to enjoy the beauty within the 4 acres. Now what you do once you get there is on you, but please know that St. Louis City will lock you up if you go to far. Lol

I am at a complete loss of words. This, like all deaths, was one that nobody was prepared for. I can't believe that it is true. Had it not been for this man there would be no Usher, Chris Brown, Omarion, and a host of other singers and dancers. In plenty of today's videos you can see the heavy influence that Michael Jackson had on their careers. Our thoughts and prayers are completely with the Jackson family at this sad time. Say what you want about Mike but there is no denying that he was the extreme cross over star. He started heavily with an R&B background with Motown Records. After leaving the Jackson 5 he embarked on a solo career that many could only dream to have. He had so many hits that it is hard to narrow down which one is our favorite. But we would love to know WHICH MICHAEL JACKSON SONG IS YOUR FAVORITE EVER?

Ginuwine released his album today with major STL support. His new label is Notifi Records headed by Ira Dewitt (we've already had the pleasure of having her in the V.I.P. Suite) who made folks take notice when she started up STL's newest record label. Ginuwine has been in a St. Louis a lot over the last year making sure that this album "Last Chance" hit the charts with a bang. I can't front like I didn't question if Dewitt when I heard she was working with Ginuwine because I thought he was a 90's star that was the end, but this man has a more mature sound and look to match. The album just hit stores today and from the joints we've already heard I'm going to say it's a go.

For those that don't know I'm a Murphy Lee fan all day long so when he linked his song with Day 26 on twitter I thought it was my duty as President of his fan club to post the song for all to hear. Ok maybe I'm not president of the fan club but in my mind I'm head of promotions for his upcoming album.
