Happy Anniversary Young Dip

The Loft will be packed tonight for Young Dip's 3rd Anniversary with HOT 104.1, it will also be the last night for Boogie D to host before he moves to Philly. That means that if you're not at The Loft tonight you will be missing one hell of a party. Come out and support because we will be there!

And the WInner Is....

BOOGIE D

Murphy Lee and Boogie D were at The Loft on Friday Night to settle a battle that these two have been talking about over the airwaves of HOT 104.1 and via twitter for weeks. Foreplay Fridays was changed to Fight Night as Mr. U C ME battled Mr. NYC in a PS3 challenge. You would have thought it was an Ali fight going down with all the ish talking and bets that were made. If Boogie D would have lost he would have had to turn over his show to Murphy Lee for a day. But since Murphy Lee went down in a sweep he now will be taking 20 lucky ladies out on a date. It was a different way to start a Friday Night at the club for sure and I'm thinking if these two keep teaming up there will be more unique events ahead. We were split on the support, Jami B was all in Boogie's corner while Cryssrenee supported the Murph or Die Campaign.

SUPER JAM 2 was a SUPER SUCCESS

With over 15,000 people in attendance Super Jam 2 was a success not only by HOT 104.1 but for St. Louis.
Hot 104.1 had been advertising SJ2 adamantly since the announcement of the lineup. The city was in full anticipation mode as Saturday June 13th approached. Pullin on the parking lot you could see the smiles on people's faces as they eagerly ran to the gates. In our mind they were trying to guess who was the surprise guest. As the music boomed through the speakers SJ2 began at exactly 4pm.

Joka who recently signed signed a deal with DTP started the show early which was followed by OJ the Juiceman and SouljaBoy. Starting a hip hop concert at 4pm sounds a bit juvenille but when you have over 15 artist on one stage it's the only way to do it.

After rocking the stage Soulja Boy he was kind enough to take a picture for us. He showed his appreciation by tweeting our picture to all his followers on Twitter speading the STL love and then jetted off to another show he had in KC. You could hear the crowd as they sang along to their favorite songs. On Pleasure P's "I did you wrong" STL took over the song showing why it stayed at the top of the countdown on Hot104.1.

We absolutely adore the spirit of UnLadyLike as they mingled with the crowd to show that even though they are on the rise they know where it all started. Local artist Aloha who we here has some new music coming and Shorty (pictured above) were there spreading their STL love as well. When Shorty stepped on stage as one of the Surprise Guest he let the crowd know he was now part of the HOTSQUAD! Not sure when we can expect to hear to him but I'm looking forward to hearing him back on the airwaves.

Ludy was part of the STL Mixtape and it was obivious that his relatioship with Grind Up Records has ended because him and his entire crew were sporting "Pac-Stein Records" shirt and his former manager Champ was no where to be found.

Day26 came in and completely took over the interview with improtu singing and dancing. These fellas are a joy to interview especially when they are in amped mode. When asked what's next with MTV and Diddy, Willie responded "we not sure what MTV and Diddy are doing" and went on to pub their current album which is doing well in stores. Not sure what that means but we sure do like those guys despite that a few of the members could use some ADHD medication. Love the way like they treat everybody like they grew up together. No pic could describe this so you all will just have to wait on the video!

Trey Songz took his time during his set and even showed the ladies what he was working with when he took off his shirt. I do wish we could have seen the entire Oceans 7 on stage in St. Louis but hey we still have next year. Yo Gotti and Pleasure P (pictured above) stopped through for pictures and quick interviews. As the heat beat down on the crowd the amphitheatre rocked as if the sun was absent. Gotti loves St. Louis so it was only fitting that the Memphis native drove in to surprise some of his biggest fans. Plies ripped through his set giving away money and putting on one of the best shows with his nasty lyrics and full speed vulgarity.

But nothing could prepare STL for The St. Lunatics in its entirety. That's right people Ali, City Spud, Murph, Kyjuan and Nelly were the biggest surprise guests of the evening after coming out following a custom video intro and although he didn't come on stage with his mask we did see Slo Down off to the side and backstage in his Murph Or Die gear. We tried to take pictures but had 2 stop and dance to some of our favortie hometown jams. The love that was shown to the Tics was incredible. It just goes to show you can travel the world but nobody will do you like your hometown.

Jeezy was last to hit the stage as the headliner and of course he done his thing. We would be remiss if we didn't acknowledge Boogie D and the entire Hot staff who worked hard 2 give STL the love back that is given to them daily by keeping their dial on the hottest station blazing the airwaves.

More SUPER JAM 2 pics when we recover....

The Factory Report

Spring is here and so are 2 new clubs. The Black Label and The Factory opened their doors on Saturday for business as 2 of St Louis’ newest hot spots. Mario Wayne (pictured right) was all smiles when I stopped by his new club, The Factory on Saturday for “Spring Training” the first official party of Spring by Free Time and Koncepts. The new 2 level venue was a packed house as Boogie D of HOT 104.1 hosted and DJ OK kept the dance floor paced. The stairs at The Factory and the odd color sponge paint on the walls both made me a little nervous but the vibe was a perfect blend of high energy, and positive people that made my night a great one.

SPRING IS IN THE AIR

Spring is officially here so you know those handsome men of FreeTime and Koncepts are hosting the first official party at STL's newest club THE FACTORY. DJ OK will be keeping you on the dance floor and BOOGIE D of HOT 104.1 will be on the mic. It goes down Saturday (March 21st) night at 1128 Washington Ave.

Get Ready for SPRING TRAINING

You already know that if there is something new coming to STL, suiteSTL is going to be the FIRST to let you know. There is a new club in town and the first major event will be held on Saturday, March 21. Boogie D will be on the mic and DJ OK on the 1's and 2's, so you know the party will be HOT. The gentlemen of FreeTime and Koncepts have partnered up with the The FACTORY to host the first major event at the hottest new club to hit Washington Ave.

You know we love us some STL and we love it even more when everyone can work together to make some things happen, and that's what this event is really doing. I already know that when you hear something new the first thing folks wanna know is "who is behind it." THE FACTORY is hot and that's all you really need to know but I will say that it has the magic touch of Mario Wayne.

Did we mention that this event is FREE for ladies before 10:30pm. Ladies please make sure you come in the spot dressed to impressed cause there will plenty of fine men there trust us. Fellas make sure you come out cause you know that means the place will be packed early. For Bottle Service and VIP information check out Free Time.

LUSH is doing it BIG...again

They don't call it the BEST DAMN FRIDAY NIGHT....PERIOD for nothing. Monolply Promotions does it big every Friday night at LUSH and tonight will be no different. Join Mocha Latte and Boogie D as they host Teairra Mari tonight at LUSH.

Ms Teairra is also looking in St. Louis for someone to appear in her next video. The casting call is at I AM clothing store 5-7pm. So all you video models and wanna be famous chicks make sure you get your hair done and fits right and check out the casting call. While you are there buy a new outfit and meet us at LUSH.

CHINGY AT LUSH??? - you know we don't like to gossip here at suiteSTL so if you read it here you better believe it's the real deal. Just hours after posting Chingy's video yesterday we got word that he will be at LUSH on Friday, March 20th celebrating his Birthday. HOLD UP. That means that LUSH will have had Ron Brownz, Teairra Mari, Bow Wow (oh yeah he will be here next weekend), and Chingy all within 30 days! Most financial institutions are suffering in this economy but Wellz Fargo seems to be doing just fine at Lush!

Busy Weekend in the LOU

If I hear anybody else say that nothing is ever going on in St. Louis I want them to be in my shoes for just 24 hours and you will learn there is always something going on you just need to know the right folks...or make sure you read suiteSTL and you won't miss out on a thing.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mocha Latte

Ludy, Young Dip and Will Franklin

First let me say that I have an issue with Mocha Latte and I hope she reads this because I have a serious beef. You made me miss my hair appointment Mocha!!! I partied so hard Friday Night at LUSH with the Promotions Queen that I slept right through my 7am flat iron moment. Everybody and they Uncle baby momma was in LUSH on Friday Night. Wellz "Slim" Fargo (pictured left with Ron Brownz) was there along with Kansas City Chief Will Franklin who I must say makes me proud! The HOT Squad was there to support and Boogie D was hosting...and from what I here LUSH will be his home on Friday Nights alongside Mocha. For more pics...check out the slide show on the right side of the page.

SATURDAY Afternoon: DJCF Fab 25
Saturday afternoon I had to check out my the Demetrious Johnson Charitable Foundation for their annual Fab 25 All-American Football Banquet. If you think you are doing it big and you are not giving back to your community then you really aren't doing anything at all. I was in tears at the Banquet as Darrly Burton and Joshua Kerr spoke to the kids. Both Burton and Kerry were recently released from prison after being wrongly accused of murder. There stories and messages to the kids were inspiring to everyone. KMOV sports anchor Steve Savard hosted with his fine self and the Keynote Speaker was former Rams (you know back when they were good) Aeneas Williams (pictured right with Ronnie Wingo who will be graduating form SLUH and headed off to the University of Arkansas).

SUNDAY NIGHT: Traffic Music Awards

Kyuan, Murphy Lee and City Spud

After the hour and half wait on the TMA's to start I enjoyed myself. I got some good laughs andenjoyed a great show. We presented the award for best collaboration and after almost knocking some guy in the head after he tried to argue with us for not giving the awardees enough time to get to the stage I had to check his little self and let them know they weren't even there. I'm being nice by not calling out who it was but if U C Me then I C YOU. Moving On!

JamiB. and CryssRenee
If anybody knows anything about me (Jami B.) then you already know that my favorite rapper right now is Murphy Lee so I was all good once he got on the stage and when he won his award for best Radio Song "My Shoes." Kyuan and all that bright green was all so there with City Spud who has been back for about 9 months now.

Tony J had on a white Tuxedo like it was prom and he had the nerve to change twice. I ain't mad at you Tony - GREAT EVENT. The funniest moments of the night had to be Darius Bradford crazy self on stage, he tore this one guy up calling him " Lil Dude". We would be wrong not to acknowledge the out pour of love for the beloved Lee "Rose Man" Nixon. His daughter (pictured left with the Rose Man's brother) was full of tears as the whole theater stood to their feet and chanted "Rose Man". However, I must say that for all the winners who were no shows but were in town need to be checked for being a little disrespectful in my book. April Simpson wasn't there and I know good and well Fox 2 didn't have her doing anything last night. Let me stop before I mess around and have to call out half of St. Louis. But we are not afraid to call out some people on their fashion. I understand that the country is a recession and some people had to cut back on expenses, but pulling out retro clothes from the past is not going to cut it. We saw some walking aluminum foil, crimped ponytails, pimp suits with kangols, and just some all around foolishness. Look out for our month long Arch Madness where if caught slipping you will be put on blast.

CHECK IN: Mocha Latte & Chris Draft

HAPPY BIRTHDAY goes out to Rams Linebacker Chris Draft and Mocha Latte of Monopoly Promotions.

We know the Rams are having a, how shall I say this, tough, no rough, well the Rams haven't been doing that well but Chris Draft is a superstar in my eyes. This brother has been doing some great things in St. Louis and is dedicated to the St. Louis community although not a native. This brother didn't waste anytime on giving back. He also is working with my of my favorite groups, Smoke-Free St. Louis.

If you have ever partied in St. Louis then you know that Mocha Latte throws some of the best events in town. I remember the first time I saw her do poetry back at Raw Sugar (side note: I miss raw sugar) and she got up on stage and did a piece that left everyone in the room in shock with her skills. She's done it all and there is a reason that they call her the Queen of Promotions. Friday night she will have one of the biggest celebrations in town with her All-star Birthday Bash at Lush. Special Guest will be Ron Brownz and hosted by Boogie D.

Girl Fights are a KNOCKOUT

No, Brooke Valentine was not in town but there was definetly a girl fight going down at KNOCKOUT Bar & Grill on Tuesday night for the for the championship fight. When I was first asked about going to this event I wasn't to keen on the idea of watching two chicks fight in tight clothes. But when the bell rang and Sugar Ray and Honey got to work, the idea of 2 ladies rolling around was replaced with a serious battle inside this North County venue. I wasn't the only one there to watch the fight, Derrty Ent was all over the place with City Spud acting as one of the judges. DJ Cuddy, Meghan O, Tracy Denise, ZO, Boogie D (who also served as a judge), and Darasha of the Hot 104.1 family was there as well to watch a little girl on girl action. I even saw a former St. Louis City Mayor in the house getting in on the action.
Knockout Owner Kevin Cunningham is keeping busy when he isn't in the ring alongside Devin Alexander who was also there. I gotta give it up to Kevin for bringing something new to the area.

If you thought that these girls were going to be slapping each other around you were WRONG. Sugar Ray (she is on the right in both pics) who came here from Connecticut went up against Honey from the Northside. I don't think I need to say who won this fight. You know how the Northside gets done!

Champ, CEO of Grind Up Records (check Ludy's new video on their website) served as a judge and kept a close eye on the belt before it was given away. Boogie D and City Spud seem to be trying to talking about which girl they think won. Boogie picked Sugar Ray 2-1 while City Spud and Champ went with Honey 2-1 who took home the belt.

V.I.P. Suite: Nelly's 3rd Annual Black & White Ball

After partying hard at LUSH on Friday and the Skybox on Saturday, Nelly and the Derrty ENT family ended the Derrty ENT weekend with Nelly's 3rd Annual Black and White Ball. The event this year was extra special because they announced the start of a scholarship in partnership with Lindenwood University for 2 students. If you are going to party, then party with a purpose. Synergy put on a fabolus event and with sponosrs like Budwieser and Jose Cuervo you know the bar stayed occupied. Plaza Motors may have won my unoffical award for sponsor of the year for giving away a brand new Lexus valued at $48,000 to one lucky guest. The event started out with a small intimate dinner and followed with a larger guest list for the party. Guest included former Rams player, Roland Williams, Kiki the 1st Lady from 100.3 the Beat, Mike and Jeanee Roberts, Jermain Dupri, from News Channel 4 Vickie Newton, St. Louis Cardinals President Bill Dewitt III, Congressman Lacy Clay. St. Louis Rams player Steven Jackson showed up, but he came late after losing to the Dolphins which makes them 2-10. And of course Ashanti was there with her Mother and younger sister.

Boogie D of HOT 104.1 stopped on the red carpet for a quick pic with his wife, Jami B.

(l-r) Quincy, George, and Kieth

The evening got off to a good start because I was sitting at the table with Quincy and Kieth.

My favorite St. Lunatic Murphy Lee and his wife showed with a splash of color. I must say that they make a lovely couple and you know their closet has to be filled with some original pieces because they are a very stylish couple. If you haven't picked up his Mix Tape, please do so because it is so HOT, it hasn't left my CD player yet.

St. Louis Promoter Queen, Mocha Latte was there before heading over to Dante's for her Sunday Night event. I almost snatched this fab jacket right off her back.

(l-r) Loni Swain and Christina
Ladies of Radio-One St. Louis were there. Loni can be heard weekly on Loni's Love Lounge on Foxy 95.5

(l-r) Jami B. and Jermain Dupri
Mr. Super Producer Jermain Dupri had his bow-tie swag game in full effect.

Kyuan and along with his wife
The Lunatics were all over the place at the Chase. Kyuan managed to squeeze a little of his trademark green into this tie. Ladies take note of his wife's hair, it was the perfect color and the cut too cute.

(l-r) Alecia, Wanya Harris and Paige

Fontbonne students Alecia and Paige had a good night and were looking sexy in there all black. Wanya of Boyz II Men was smiling hard, but can you blame him.

(l-r) Jami B. and City Spud
That's right folks City Spud was in the house. Is it just me or is he starting to look a lot like Nelly these days. And he's buffed up something major. He was looking fly and smiling just enough to show off those dimples.

Young Dip of HOT 104.1 took time out from sipping on his drink so we could snap a photo with JIBBS. I almost didn't recognize Jibbs without his chain, plus he's no kid anymore, he was looking like a grown man last night.

Boogie D who worked at Virgin before coming to St. Louis was able to meet back up with his former boss Jermaine Dupri.

Boyz II Men (-1 that left the group) were singing like it was 1992. During "I'll Make Love to you they got up close with more than a few ladies as they passed out roses to the crowd. They even brought us into the holiday spirit by singing Silent Night.

Thanksgiving Night Photos: Loft & Lush

Check the SYGU Swag in front of Lush.
Joy, Taylor, and Tiffany looking relaxed and ready to party at Lush
(l-r) Spinks, J-Kidd (a.k.a. Mr. Exclusive who has a song out with the same name) and Daron were ready for a party and made sure to get to Lush early.

My boy Marcus was out chilling with his family at The Loft

Only at the Loft will you have 9 people at the picture booth inlcuding HOT 104.1's Boogie D who was hosting that night...if you ask me he was too much fun to call that work.

These 2 ladies were kicking it all night in there sweater dresses

There is Boogie D again this time in a mist of ladies in Yellow

DJ Cuddy had the folks at the Loft on the dance floor all night.
