Maxwell gave STL a SHOW, heart and all

Singing mainly songs from her latest cd, Chrisette Michele looked and sounded stunning! She opened the concert Friday Night at the Scottstrade Center. Jammin' to a 5 piece band, Chrisette held her own.  Common brought a lil' taste of Chicago to St. Louis. The crowd bobbed their heads and waved their hands as he rapped, two-stepped, and break-danced across the stage. As Maxwell tweeted (during the show), "chrisette MICHELE is LOVE... COMMON is the LIGHT!" And Maxwell was the heart of the show! He was comedic and full of life w/ his dancing and crooning of songs old and new. The energy from all three acts was amazing. The vibe in the arena was that of gloryfing women &showing love for one another!

STL hearts COMMON

Common was in St. Louis on Saturday promoting his latest album, UNIVERSAL MIND CONTROL which is in stores now. After having lunch with some lucky 100.3 The Beat listeners he was able to relax and really have some fun at Flamingo Bowling alley with with fans who won tickets from HOT 104.1. This Chi-town native was looking super casual and fine in his sweatsuit swag when he rolled inside the bowling alley and interacted with fans like he went to high school with them. For anybody that loves hip-hop you will love this new album which is a blend of his classic style and current sound.

The bowling event at Flamingo was too fun even though my score was nothing like that on the Wii but whatever. Common bowls a pretty good game and so does rapper Mims who also stopped by the party to hang out. Young Dip was trying to show off his skills by bowling behind his back and under his legs and surprisingly he didn't do to bad. Staci Static even put on some bowling shoes and tried to bowl a frame or two but over all I think I had them all beat (lets hope nobody that was there reads this and tells the real story). With 2009 vastly approaching, the who's who for 2008 will start popping up left and right. Not to be outdone we here at Suite Stl will be doing various different hottest of 08 lists. Each day we will post hottest couple, song, style, and any other we can think of. We will start the countdown with one of 2008 hottest couples;

When I see this couple together I have to constantly chant to myself "I am not jealous of Serena, I am not jealous". Truthfully though I think this couple is a good look. A couple of years ago Serena was quoted as saying she was done with black men, because of the games they play. Well she must have been dealing with black "boys". There is a huge difference between a man and boy and I am sure Common has helped her realize that.
