While the All-Star Games has the spotlight shining bright on St. Louis, could this be the start of a new trend for big time sporting events in STL? The City looks cleaner than it's ever looked before. The homeless who once took residence in many downtown parks seem to have all found shelter just before the start of Fan Fest. The potholes have been patched and trash on the streets can't be found east of Tucker.
I'm thinking if we get a bid for the Super Bowl of even the NBA All-Star (oh wait we don't even have a team) our city's downtown skyline will be as bright as St. Louis Center back when they were open.
Do you think our town is ready for the Spotlight? Can we handle it? Will we support major events in our city and what do we need to do to finally get the Super Bowl in St. Louis?

Super Bowl in STL?

I think St. Louis can handle it. I'm not a big baseball fan so I haven't been all excited about the all star game coming to st. Louis. I think if Jacksonville can get the super bowl, there is no reason we can't.
The NFL has had some issues with the Super Bowl being in STL
#1 - not enough hotel rooms (which is no longer an issue because we match other major cities)
#2 - warm weather for the annual Golf Classic (That is BS because the Super Bowl has been in Detroit)
#3 - WE NEED A NEW DOME - Our dome was once top of the line but now we have one of the worst domes in the NFL. In order for this city to see big money events they need to spend big money towards the dome and if we don't upgrade soon we won't even have a team
nope we can not host a super bowl. stl is to boring, the clubs close at 3, and the stl ppl suck
SUPER BOWL.....UPGRADE THE DOME.....HELL WE CANT EVEN SELL TICKETS TO GAMES.....HOW THEY GONE UPGRADE THE DOME......WE NEED TO FOCUS ON THEM BOYS GETTING THERE GAME RIGHT FIRST!!!!
As much as I would like to see a Super Bowl here, we need severe climate change for that to happen. While the Super Bowl was played in Detroit, it snowed on game day. There was no pre-game atmosphere, nothing. I think the NFL will stick to favorites like Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami, and San Diego
I dont think the city is ready
