Just a few days shy of his year anniversary with the Chicago Bulls, St. Louis Native, Larry Hughes gets traded once again. This time the former SLU and CBC standout has been sent to the NY Knicks. The Knicks could really use all he help they can get and lets hope since this is Hughes 6th move since he was drafted to the NBA by the 76'ers in 1998 that he really can make a big impact on the team. We wish Larry Hughes luck and I'm thinking this might be a good move for him, if not it may be his last.

T.I. gives back in STL
While you may know T.I. best for his lyrics, this platinum selling rapper is dedicated to giving back in each city he visits. We were on hand today as he stopped by Compton Drew Middle School and Job Corp to give a positive message to students. T.I. has certainly learned from his mistakes and is using the time he has now to spread not just his story but the lessons he had to learn the hard way on to area youth.

tonight: SOUL STAGE
If you love a good open mic and are looking for something new then make sure you check out Soul Stage. It goes down at STL House of Comedy every Wednesday. The cover is just $6. Wait did they say $6 - that is really odd, why not just make it $5 but whatever. Local poets Appey The Truth and Xplicit will serve as host and DJ 76kid will be on the 1's and 2's.

suiteSTL Black History: Redd Foxx
Redd Foxx was born here in St. Louis in the early 20s. At an early age he moved to New York to pursue a career as a comedian. He was one of the best stand up comedians but for a younger generation he is known as Fred Sanford. Sanford and Son was one of the funniest television shows at its time. His classic role in Harlem Nights as Bennie, the blind Old Gangsta. At the time of his death he was starring on another television show, The Royal Family, with close friend Della Reese. Ironically he died on the set of a heart attack. Redd Foxx was most famous for clutching his chest and faking a heart attack on the television show Sanford and Son. He was honored by the city of St. Louis for a star on St. Louis Walk of Fame in the Delmar Loop.

Oh Nelly, get yo chick
I really am not sure what she was thinking with this one but this cut is just not working for her. I'm going to give her a pass on the dress because I'm a fan of the classic look but she went to far with the bowl cut bob bangs. While very trendy this just doesn't work for Nelly's longtime (we think they still together) girlfriend.
